Putting Structured Literacy into practice

Empowering educators to help students read is more than our mission – it’s at the heart of everything we do. The Wilson Way is how we do it – a comprehensive approach supported by professionals who know the subject matter, have extensive, hands-on experience with our programs, and share our commitment to implementing high-quality Structured Literacy programs on behalf of all learners.

Our research-backed approach

We are pioneers in Structured Literacy, and every Wilson program remains rooted in scientific research into how children learn to read. Our evidence-based approach integrates the five critical components of literacy – phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension – to ensure students learn to read and spell, while also saving teachers time and reducing unnecessary curriculum add-ons.

More expert support, more positive outcomes

With 40% of the Wilson team dedicated to implementation support, it’s no exaggeration to say that we’re with you every step of the way. Our team members have hands-on experience teaching our programs. They have walked in your shoes, and have a deep understanding of how to implement our programs successfully.

Our literacy and dyslexia specialists

Our Literacy Specialists are expert educators (and former teachers) who understand the importance of Structured Literacy instruction and have in-depth experience implementing Wilson programs. By providing both programmatic training and classroom coaching, they help to ensure that districts, schools, and educational organizations, and the students that they serve, are set up for success.

Wilson Language Training makes me feel really excited for the world of reading. There is a systematic way for students to be able to learn that is not only multisensory, but can be bridged to more age-appropriate materials for older students.
